What the Guarantee Covers
All of our ceramic coatings are backed by the same CME Guarantee when paired with your Annual Inspection Maintenance Detail. The guarantee is our assurance that, with proper care, your coating will continue to protect your vehicle and hold the gloss and performance you paid for. Learn more about our coating options on the Auto Detailing page.
Keeping Your Coating and Warranty in Top Shape
To keep your ceramic coating performing at its best and to uphold your warranty, follow these maintenance requirements:
- Annual inspections. Schedule a yearly inspection within 30 days before the anniversary of your coating application. This keeps the coating effective and the gloss strong, and it keeps your warranty active.
- Proper vehicle care. Wash and dry your vehicle properly and regularly, so contaminants like bird droppings, bug splatter, and tree sap do not sit on the surface and compromise the coating.
- Avoid harsh chemicals. Use pH-neutral car shampoos and avoid abrasive cleaning agents that can degrade the coating.
- Professional repairs. If your coating ever needs repair or reapplication, have the work performed by a certified CME Shine detailer.
Products to Maintain Your Coating
You do not have to track down the right supplies on your own. We carry the full range of coating-safe products you need to wash, decontaminate, and maintain your coated vehicle, the same professional-grade products we use in the shop. Ask us what to use, and pick it up when you come in for your annual detail.
Transferable Coverage
Good news for resale value. The warranty is transferable to a new vehicle owner, as long as they follow the same maintenance requirements and notify CME Shine within the first 30 days of the transfer, so we can review the coating care do's and don'ts with the new owner. A documented, transferable coating warranty is a real selling point when the time comes to move the vehicle.
What the Guarantee Does Not Cover
To set clear expectations, the guarantee does not cover damage resulting from:
- Accidents, impacts, or collisions
- Severe weather
- Modifications or alterations to the vehicle
- Misuse or neglect, such as leaving contaminants like bird droppings, sap, or tar on the surface instead of removing them promptly
- Frequent or excessive use of automated car washes, especially those with brushes or harsh chemicals
Backed by Certified Work
A guarantee is only as good as the work behind it. Every coating we apply is installed by an IDA Certified Detailer with Skills Validated (CD-SV) and a Recognized Industry Trainer (RIT), using professional-grade products in a controlled shop environment. That is what lets us stand behind the result with confidence.
