Industrial Ceramic & Anti-Corrosion Coatings in Eastern Iowa
Advanced industrial coating systems engineered for protection, durability, and long-term performance in demanding environments. CME Shine Industries applies IGL-certified industrial coatings, including Ecocoat Eclipse and Ecoclear Aegis, to protect equipment, vehicles, and hard surfaces. These are industrial coatings, not consumer products, and they are applied in a controlled process by a trained and certified applicator.
Coatings Built for Real-World Industrial Conditions
Corrosion, chemical exposure, UV, and abrasion cost businesses real money every year in equipment replacement, downtime, and repairs. The right industrial coating slows that down. It protects the metal, concrete, and glass your operation depends on, reduces cleaning and maintenance time, and extends the service life of expensive assets. We help businesses, municipalities, and equipment owners across Eastern Iowa protect what they have already invested in.
Ecocoat Eclipse: Industrial Ceramic Coating
Ecocoat Eclipse is an all-in-one industrial ceramic coating built for the most demanding environments. It is a REACH-compliant, nanotechnology-based coating rated 10H on the pencil hardness scale, and it bonds to almost any painted surface, including alkyd, acrylic, polyurethane, and epoxy. Its ultra-hydrophobic surface repels oil, water, and dirt, which means coated assets stay cleaner and take less time and labor to maintain.
- Extreme resistance to hazardous chemicals and abrasion
- 10H hardness that resists micro-marring and scratching
- Ultra-hydrophobic, self-cleaning surface
- Reduces maintenance and cleaning time
- Bonds to most painted industrial surfaces
Eclipse is a strong fit for equipment, machinery, and building structures exposed to chemicals, oil and gas, or heavy industrial use.

Ecoclear Aegis: Anti-Corrosion Coating
Ecoclear Aegis is a graphene-reinforced, two-component (2K) clear coating engineered specifically to fight corrosion in the harshest settings. It carries a C5 rating, the level used for industrial areas with heavy pollutant exposure and coastal or marine environments. Aegis protects steel, concrete, glass, and more, and because the finish is clear, early signs of corrosion stay visible so you can act before a small problem becomes an expensive one.
- C5-rated protection for highly corrosive environments
- Graphene-reinforced for strength and durability
- Clear finish, so corrosion can be spotted early
- Protects steel, concrete, glass, frames, and underbodies
- VOC-free and eco-friendly, with thousands of hours of salt-spray testing

What We Coat
If it can rust, corrode, or wear down from chemical or environmental exposure, these coatings can help protect it. Common applications include:
- Heavy equipment and machinery
- Work vehicles, trailers, frames, and underbodies
- Tools and shop fixtures
- Steel structures and railings
- Concrete and glass surfaces
- Assets in high-moisture or chemical-exposure areas
- Community aquatic slides and equipment
Why an IGL-Certified Applicator Matters
Industrial coatings are precision systems. Aegis is a two-component coating with specific surface prep, mixing, and application requirements, and when those steps are skipped or rushed, the coating fails early. CME Shine is trained on IGL application methods and applies these systems in a controlled, repeatable process. That training is the difference between a coating that performs for years and one that peels, bubbles, or lets corrosion through.
Our Industrial Coating Process
- 01
Inspection and assessment
We evaluate the surface, the corrosion risk, and whether a coating is the right solution for your asset and environment.
- 02
Surface preparation and decontamination
We degrease the surface and remove any existing rust mechanically or chemically, because the coating must be applied to clean, sound material.
- 03
Coating application
We select the right system for the job, mix it to spec, and apply it for uniform, complete coverage.
- 04
Cure and final inspection
The coating is cured and inspected to confirm protection before the asset goes back into service.
Industrial projects are scoped and quoted individually based on the surface, size, and environment.
Serving Cedar Rapids and Eastern Iowa Businesses
CME Shine Industries serves businesses, municipalities, and equipment owners across the Cedar Rapids metro and Eastern Iowa. Some work is handled at our Springville shop, and larger equipment that cannot be transported, such as a tractor or heavy machinery, can be coated on-site. We determine the right approach with you during project quoting. Because every industrial project is different, we scope and quote each one individually. Call or text to talk through your equipment, facility, or fleet, and we will recommend the right coating system.

Industrial Coatings FAQ
What surfaces can be coated?
Eclipse and Aegis protect a wide range of industrial surfaces, including steel, concrete, glass, equipment, machinery, vehicles, frames, and underbodies. If a surface is exposed to corrosion, chemicals, or heavy wear, it is usually a candidate. We confirm suitability during the inspection.
What is the difference between Ecocoat Eclipse and Ecoclear Aegis?
Eclipse is an industrial ceramic coating focused on chemical resistance, hardness, and easy-clean performance. Aegis is a clear anti-corrosion coating focused on protecting metal in highly corrosive C5 environments. Some projects use one, and some use both. We recommend the right system after assessing your asset.
How long do industrial coatings last?
Service life depends on the coating system, the surface, and the environment. Aegis has been salt-spray tested for thousands of hours, which reflects strong long-term durability in demanding conditions. We will give you realistic expectations for your specific application.
Do you coat fleets and larger projects?
Yes. We work with equipment owners and fleets, and we scope larger projects individually. Larger items that cannot come to the shop can be coated on-site. Reach out with the details and we will put together a plan and a quote.
